TODAY’s RAMBLINGS:
It is the 3rd day into the Color Challenge: Electric Lime and I have my post up! YESSSSS!! I am early, and not next to last day early, but genuinely EARLY by a few days! I’m so proud of me!! I pulled out an oldie for this post. Honestly one of the oldest piece of clothing I have. I thought the color of the dress was more Limey until I added the green hair n shoes and it looks more yellow than anything to me now. But the shoes n hair are Lime so I guess I’m still within my color challenge.. soo.. YAY! Next week is Ecru…ugh… ecru!???

TODAY’s RAMBLINGS:
I was out pretty late Friday night so I wasn’t able to edit my pics for the Color Challenge: Teal on time. Then again when am I ever on time? If ever I am again, I think I’d surprise even me! So I wasn’t sure what teal items I had, so I did a search in my inventory and all this great stuff popped up, but the one that made me squeal in delight was this OLD SCHOOL shrug from none other than the amazing Ginny Talamasca of Last Call. Yes I still have a shit load of Last Call things and how can I not pay homage to my first favorite designer in SL by wearing her stuff when I can?? Mixing the old with the new and damn it, I still love me some Ginny!

Next week is Electric Lime.. jeeze Luna, you’re killin’ me over here! I think I have something Limey, if only I can remember where in my inventory I put it.

So after my late night rambling yesterday I realized 2 things.
1. I’m kinda emo.. omg!
2. Even @ 30 years old, I know next to NOTHING about life.
You know, they say you get wiser with age and experience, but I still can’t feel like I have a grasps on life. I still make the same mistake like.. thinking great sex can turn into a great relationship or mucking up a potential soul mate. I keep thinking the older I get the less mistakes I make and really.. the older you get you don’t make the same mistakes again, but there’s this whole slew of new mistakes waiting for you to make and it seems to be this vicious cycle of.. “When Will I Get It Already?”

Is it me.. or is my blog turning more into a Carrie-esq Sex and the City type writing. I can’t be that neurotic or have it all that backwards…can I?

The silence…really is deafening.
I used to talk to you all hours of the day and night,
I never ran out of things to say and to this day I never really understood how we did that.
It’s one of those days,
one of those days where I don’t feel like getting dressed,
my hair stays in the rat-nested state
and my body won’t move out of bed.
It’s one of those days where you keep coming back into my head
and I’m trying to figure out where we went wrong,
where we stopped working.
It couldn’t be our conversations,
it couldn’t be our chemistry,
it couldn’t be the sex, the love, the walks, the hand holding,
the kisses that took my breath away.
No, it couldn’t be any of that.

So what was it?

Where did we fall?

I don’t want to get dressed today,
because getting dressed means you aren’t here anymore,
and getting dressed means it’s a new day today and
getting dressed means my life starts without you.
I’d rather run around naked,
naked because I can’t deal with restrictions,
naked because that’s how we used to be,
naked because I can’t stand the feel of fabric touching parts of my skin where your finger tips once did.
Naked.
I’d rather be, fully exposed and wondering if you ever will,
if you ever would,
if ever you should walk through those doors again
would it work this time?
And it has to,
And it has to because nothing this good ends this way,
Because nothing this good falls away at the seams
cus we’re sewn too tight baby.

and we used to wonder how others couldn’t work
